One of the biggest misconceptions about Celebrate Recovery is that it is only for people who struggle with drug or alcohol addiction. That could not be further from the truth. In fact, out of all of the people who attend Celebrate Recovery around the world, ⅔ of them come for an issue other than drugs or alcohol. Some of the reasons people attend CR are: codependency, anger issues, sexual addiction, adult child of family dysfunction, eating disorders, control issues, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, sexual, physical, emotional or mental abuse, and that’s just to name a few. We truly believe that everyone can benefit from Celebrate Recovery! If there’s any issue in your life that is holding you back or causing you pain, Celebrate Recovery is a fit for you!

CR Leaders: Shawn & Jacquie Cox

I have been sober for 13 years, and I lead Celebrate Recovery because I believe brokenness is not the end of anyone’s story Jesus is. He meets us in our lowest places and restores what feels lost. I feel called to walk alongside people as they rediscover hope, healing, and purpose through Him in honest community. Having witnessed how the grace of Christ transforms pain into growth, I am committed to creating a safe space where struggles are met with truth, compassion, and the steady reminder that no one has to recover alone because Jesus walks with us every step of the way.  -Shawn

While leading CR, I’ve had the privilege of watching God transform lives addictions broken, marriages restored, and families brought back together. Week after week, I see people arrive carrying shame, fear, and hopelessness, only to discover that God meets them with grace, truth, and a new beginning. There is nothing more powerful than witnessing someone realize they are not defined by their past but invited into a restored future. By God’s grace, I am also 10 years sober, and my own life stands as a testimony to His mercy and redeeming power. What God has done in me fuels my passion to walk alongside others, reminding them that healing is possible, freedom is real, and no story is beyond His ability to redeem. -Jacquie
